
The China Numismatic Museum is a national museum under the direction of the Head Office of the People's Bank of China, dedicated to collecting and displaying coins and notes. Under the museum it sets Office, Propaganda and Education Department, Collection and Storage Department, Editorial Department of China Numismatics, Security Department, Development and Service Department and Secretariat of China Association of Numismatic.

It mainly exhibits the “Development of Chinese Coins”, “Chinese Ancient Coin-minting Techniques Exhibition”, and “History of the People's Bank of China” etc. There are more than 300,000 collections, including old coins, gold and silver coins, paper money, coins used by ethnic groups, foreign coins, coin models, and other items relevant to coins. The special exhibits in the museum include: Currency in China's Past Dynasties, Coin-minting Techniques in Ancient China, and The History of PBOC.

By Subway: Take subway line 2, and get off at Qianmen Station. Leave through Exit C and walk north.
By Bus:
1. Take bus Tourism Line 1, BRT Line 1, Tourism Line 2, Te 4, 5, Te 7, 8, Te 11, 17, 20, 22, 48, 59, 66, 67, 69, 71, 82, 93, 120, 126, 622, 623, or Nanyuan Airport Shuttle Bus, and get off at Qianmen Station.
2. Take bus Te 2, 9, 44, 332, 337, 673, or Express Line 901, and get off at Qianmen West Station.
