Located near the entrance of Gubei Water Town, Sima Xishao is the most famous liquor store that you can’t miss. There is a flag hanging on the gate of Sima Xiaoshao, so it is very easy to find the place.

The first thing you can see is a big vat saying “Sima Xiaoshao” when you enter the courtyard. Behind the vat is many earthen jars which were put in great order at the corner of the yard. It is said all these jars are fulfilled with liquors made here. If it is true, there must be a great quantity of liquor here.

Inside the room, visitors can watch how the liquor was made step by step. With all the facilities and tools, you can even watch the workers here make liquor. What’s more, you can taste the liquor for free. But when you want more, then you’ll need to pay, of course.
