Shichahai, is one of the famous historical and cultural sites of Beijing. Located in the Xicheng District, Shichahai Area is near to the central axis and it is the only open area with large water coverage in Beijing.

There are many famous places around Shichahai Area like Prince Gong’s Mansion, the Former Residence of Song Qingling, Guo Moruo Memorial, Bell Tower&Drum Tower and so on.

Prince Gong’s Mansion:

Located at the northwest corner of Shichahai Area, Prince Gong’s Mansion is a typical mansion of the Qing dynasty and it is also the most well-preserved mansion in Beijing which called “the Pearl along Shichahai”.

Former Residence of Song Qingling

Located at No. 46 Houhai Beiyan, the Former Residence of Song Qingling used to be a mansion of Prince Chun of the Qing dynasty. It is a traditional Chinese courtyard that with artificial mountains and lakes.
