Located in Yechang Village in Daxing District, Yulin Amcient Mulberry Garden is the largest ancient mulberry forest in northern China. According to legend, the mulberry trees were planted here as early as the Han Dynasty. The garden has about 500 ancient mulberry trees, most of which have a history of over 100 years. Some of the oldest are about 240 years old and under the special protection of Beijing's forestry department. The mulberry bred here during the Ming and Qing Dynasty used to be served to the imperial families. Nowadays, it has become more popular among visitors.

The mulberries there are sweet and naturally inclined to have sufficient water in them. Visitors can pick them directly from the tree and taste them. Mulberry invigorates the liver and the kidney, enriches the blood and improves eyesight. Traditional Chinese medicine deems that the mulberry is sweet in taste but cold in nature, so it has the effects of quenching thirst and invigorating the liver and kidney.

The garden with hundreds mu of land is dotted with large and small mulberry trees. Some are served for brewing only for several years, and some are ancient trees over hundred of years. It is a paradise where has bridges, running waters, lush grasses, wild flowers etc. for me who is a office worker sitting in front computer .
