The Back Garden of Autumn in Beijing

The Back Garden of Autumn in Beijing

2016-10-28

The back garden of autumn in Beijing is no other than the Olympic Park, located at the north end of the axis that runs through Beijing from south to north on Anli Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing. The best time to visit the Olympic Park is autumn. If you say spring is the beginning of green, and autumn is a kaleidoscope that contains all kinds of colors. The different colors of different plant species decorate the plants themselves and enrich the lives of those walking among them.

In contrast, the forest park is less visited, for most visitors usually go to the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube and seldom think about having a look at the beautiful forest park or even have no idea about such a park near the two major buildings inside the Olympic Park. Therefore, this area becomes a quiet place for serenity lovers. If you jog or take a stroll, this is an ideal place.

The “Main Hills and Main Lakes” is the landmark project of the forest park. The main hills resemble the ranges of Yanshan Mountain; and the main lakes and the scenic water channels form the dragon-shaped water system of the park. The scenic spots in the south are more than those in the north of the park, and those in the south are more of interest. If you stand on the Yangshan (仰山) watching the sunset and moon-rise and the panoramic view of the park, it is perfect! You will enter another dream land if you view the golden Yangshan standing on the southern bank of the Olympic Sea.
