Located at the northeast of Beijing, Gubei Water Town is a rebuilt ancient-like town based on a ancient village. With Gubei River pass though the village, this town looks like a town of South China. Gubei Water town is located at the foot of Simatai Great Wall which means you can visit the Great Wall without going far.
The town is about 2km long but it didn’t mean you can see all the spots in one or two hours for every house, every allies even every bridge are having their own uniqueness that worth to appreciate carefully. You’ll be lucky if you are fond of Chinese Architecture for all the building here are decorated in traditional way with carved bricks and windows.
There are some special places that you can see how to make a kite, make liquors, dye clothes and so on. The best way to travel the town without leaving any spots behind is follow the signs along the path.
