It was high time that high-end vintage came to Beijing and we’re coveting the wide assortment of accessories at the new House of Willow. Founded by Karen Leung and Michael Xing, the carefully presented space houses glorious bags and more, all sourced from America and Europe. Quality and workmanship are imperative for the goods they procure, and Leung regularly travels to New York (for the bags and shoes) and to Florence and Paris (for the jewellery).

Touting vintage Chanel to Chinese consumers is a smart move, and punters can rest assured all these pieces are from auction houses in the States and are completely legit. Hermès is another popular choice for the Chinese, and we spied a delightful cummerbund (price upon request).
Other more affordable non-branded pieces are also available at House of Willow, including shoes in impeccable condition and stunning jewellery. We love the ’50s Indian copper and brass wedding bag and a vintage ’60s horn necklace for 2,180RMB. One other piece we have our beady eye on is a Dior bag from the ’70s, but this, from Leung’s mother’s collection, is a family heirloom, and is unfortunately not for sale.
