On the west side of Andingmenwai Street, there was a pool and it been excavate a lake in 1958. In 1960, after pavilions and bridges were built, this place become a modern park covering an area of 169,800 square meters with a water surface of 63,800 square meters.

With nature view and manmade architecture, Qingnianhu Park is a special park in Beijing.

There are Li Garden, Baochun Island, Lotus Pool, Shenglan Pavilion and Yi Garden in the park which can meet variety needs of different visitors. There also many entertainment facilities in the park, bumper cars, Pirate ship, toy flights and so on. There also free playground for kids and exercise facilities in the park.
