Where can you appreciate red leaves in Beijing’s autumn? The first idea dawns upon you must be the place named Fragrant Hills Park, which is famous for red leaves of different kinds, because red leaf trees are numerous scattered all over the hills. The best place to appreciate the red leaves is at the South Mountain of Fragrant Hill. Tourists can start from the East Gate. After visiting Jingcui Lake, Shuangqing Villa, and Fragrant Hill Temple, tourists reach Daheshun Gate. Go along Heyu Road to get to the top of the mountain.
As soon as you enter the park through the east gate and walk south, and you will reach Jingcui Lake in just five minutes. The lake is the perfect, and nearest place to appreciate red leaves. Or perhaps you can start from the East Gate, and then visit Yuhua Villa and Sweat Mist Cave. Finally, you can reach the top.
In addition to the red leaf routes, you can also enjoy the beauty of autumn by visiting the ancient temple Biyun Temple and Shuangqing Villa where China’s first leader Mao Zedong once lived and worked.

Getting there: Take Subway Line 4 to Beigongmen Station, and get on Bus No. 318, 331, 360, 696 or 563 to Fragrant Hills Park.
