2016-09-22

Located at the island in the northwest of Shichahai, the temple was built during Yongle Period during the Ming Dynasty. It was once called Fahua Temple and then changed to Zhenshui Guanyin Temple. The temple has been renovated in 1761, the Qing dynasty and changed name into Huitong Temple.

There is a gate to a monastery in the temple with Qipan Door. There are three rooms in the front hall and 6 resilience room of the hall.

There is a stone in the temple with beautiful curves named Jishi Stone (Cock and Lion Stone). The left part of the stone looks like a cock and the right part looks like a lion slept on the ground. There also carved dragons in the temple and a carved stone mythical creature in the temple.

The temple was tired down to build subway, now the temple we see it's a re-built temple with no mythical creatures anymore.
