Built in 1956, Nanguan Park was open to the public in 1992. After the renovation in 2002, it became the first eco-park with water view in Beijing. Covering an area of 3 hectares, the park mainly focused on water-themed view. It became a special park formed by rivers, lakes, streams, fountains and waterfalls. There are 3 parts of the park including Dadi Qishi, Yuzan Garden and Liujiao Pavilion.

Dadi Qishi is the main part of the Nanguan Park where known for the sculpture “The Revelation of the Earth”. The sculpture shows the relationships among the earth, water and human, which give visitors a space of imagination to feel the vast of the nature.

Yuzan Garden

Yuzan, a kind of flower come from China. There is also a beautiful legend about Yuzan Flower. It is said that the Western Goddess was invited all the fairies for dinner. They were so happy that they drank too much. Their Yuzan (Jade Hairpins) fallen from the heaven and became the Yuzan Flower on the earth.

Liujiao Pavilion

Liujiao Pavilion is the highest part of the south part of the park. Visitors can appreciate the panorama of the whole park here. The sheds among water are all of carefully design which enable visitors to enjoy sunshine here.
