In addition to the Yonghe Lama Temple and Baiyunguan Temple, Badachu in West Hill is said to be highly efficacious for worship. Built during the Tang Dynasty over 1200 years ago, located at the foot of Cuiwei Mountain, Lingguang Temple is the most important of the eight temples.

Lingguang Temple enshrined and worshiped a pure copper statue of the founder of Buddhism, Sakyamuni, which was given as a present by the leading monk of Thailand. In the Buddhist abbot sits a tower, built in 1958, and in the stupa sits is a gold Buddha tooth. It is said that only two gold Buddha teeth exist in the world, making Lingguang Temple a place of worldly Buddhist worship.

There are three courtyards in the temple: Dabei Courtyard, Yuchi Courtyard and Ta Courtyard. It houses and a statue of Sakyamuni in Dabei Courtyard, the founder of Buddhism that weighs 3.3 tons. Lingguang Temple is famous for the seven-storey stupa which stands majestically, the golden fish pond where the beautiful brocade carps swim delightedly, as well as the heart sutra wall and arhats wall presenting a splendid sight. Tooth remains of Sakyamuni are preserved in the temple, making it a holy temple for Buddhism followers.
