Located at No. 36 Dongjiaominxiang in Beijing, formerly site of the Citibank Beijing Branch, the Beijing Police Museum is housed within a magnificent example of Western-style architecture. It is the second police museum in China after the construction of Shanghai.
The exhibition room covers 2,000 square meters with more than 7,000 collections related with police from Ming Dynasty to now. 1,500 of the collections are exhibited in the hall and some of them are first showed to the world. There are many interactive devices for you to get a firsthand experience. Simulation driving, shooting and traffic monitoring device and fire-escaping devices are there for you to manipulate. It is divided into four exhibition halls, including Beijing Police History Hall located on the first floor, Criminal Investigation Hall located on the second floor, Police Classification and Function Hall located on the third floor and Police Equipment Hall located on the fourth floor.
Beijing Police Museum is the window for the whole society to know the police work of Beijing. It is the tie and bridge between the police and citizens. It is also an important base for legal education and patriotic education of the young generations. It is an ideal place for you to take your kids to visit.
