Xuanwumen Church
Located in No.141 Qianmen West Street, Xuanwumen Church, also called Nantang (the South Cathedral) is the oldest church in Beijing and was the second building designed by a European to be built in the capital city. What is commonly referred to as the Xuanwumen Church is actually the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

Xizhimen Church
Xizhimen Church was established by Teodorico Pedrini, an Italian Lazarist missionary in year 1723, but had been destroyed in 1811. The church was again restored in 1912. The church is well known for its delicate Collins pillars and Gothic styled peak arches which create a grand, elegant and solemn impression for visitors.
Xizhimen Church is one of the top 4 churches in Beijing.

How to get there: From Xizhimen subway station exit B, walk east along Xizhimennei Dajie (10 minutes).
Xishiku Cathedral
Completed in 1703, the former site of Xishiku Cathedral was located in Canchikou, diagonally across the Beijing Library. It is the grandest and oldest church in Beijing. It is a cathedral belonging to the Catholic denomination and is currently the location of the Beijing Cardinal Bishop Office. In 1984, Xishiku Church was listed as key cultural relics protection units of Beijing and listed as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units in June 2006.

How to get there: Take Subway Line 4 and get off at Xisi Station and walk about 200 m to the church; take Bus No. 14, 22, 55, 101, 103, 685 to get there.
Gangwashi Church
Gangwashi Church is located at No.57 Xisi South Street in Xicheng District. Established by London Missionary Society in 1863, it was the primary Christian church of Beijing.
