Autumn is here. With the blue sky and the pleasant weather, one of my friend and I decided to go out for a hiking. Have been heard of many fun stories about the glass path in Tianyun Mountain, my friend Cai was really fond of Tianyun Mountain. He asked me whether I wanted to go or not. I am a little worried for that I am not as brave as him. However, I was persuaded to go, too.
On last Sunday, we booked a car to Tianyun Mountain Scenic Spot. Tianyun Mountain is located at Pinggu District, about 140 km from downtown Beijing. Considered that we’d cost a lot time on the car, we have to get up really early. Fortunately, the traffic is so smooth that we arrived at the parking lot at 10 o’clock.
After bought the tickets (78RMB/person), we were told by others that there are 4 paths to the mountain and the recommended routes are the middle two for the other two is too far that we may miss our appointed time. The left one of the recommended routes is the shortest one which is suitable for arriving at the glass path as soon as possible, and the right one pass through many spots that we can visit on the way of return.
The shortest way didn’t mean this route is the easiest. It is in twists and turns through stones and rocks. The route much more like a path in a quarry rather than at a scenic spot until we arrived at the glass path. There are two glass paths and a glass bridge in the scenic area and the shoe covers for the former two is 5RMB/person for each and the latter need 20 RMB/person.
It is not scaring at all if you are not fear of height. The glass is so transparent that you can see the rocks under your feet clearly. Sometimes you may feel you step on clouds for they have reflection on the glass. The glass bridge is more exciting than the glass path for that it will swing when you step on it. Without any thing to grab, some people even closed their eyes when they passing the bridges with their friends.
All in all, it is an exciting experience to walking on the glass whether you’re afraid or not. Come and experience by yourself!
