Living in a city like Beijing, it is easy to feel boring after working day in and day out. What can you do to relax when you are tired of your busy life? Here are some places that will refresh you.

1 Shangfang Mountain

Located at Hanhecun Town, Fangshan District, Shangfang Mountain is 60km from downtown Beijing. The scenic spot was formed by nature. There are 9 caves in the mountain and Yunshui Cave is the most famous one. The scenic spot has 12 peaks and the highest is 860 meters.

Address: Hanhecun Town, Fangshan District

Transportation: Take Bus No. 917 to Fangshan Station and transfer to a shuttle bus to Yunshui Cave or Take local bus No. 11 to the destination

2 Hongluo Temple

Hongluo Temple was built in the Eastern Jin. It gains its name because the legendary story about Hongluo Fairy. It is the biggest Buddhism Garden in north China which has been considerate as a holy land of Buddhism. The highest peak of this area is 812.9 meters and it is an ideal place for hikers.

Transportation: Take Bus No. 936 at Dongzhimen Station to Hongluosi Station

3 Vulture Peak

Jiufeng, the nearest national forest park from Beijing, is one mountain belongs to Xishan, the middle part of Taihang Mountains. It was called Xiu Mountain at first then it was named Jiufeng Mountain (Vulture Peak) for its shape looks like a vulture. This places are run by Beijing Forestry University.

Transportation: Take Bus No. 346 to Beianhe Xikou Station
