The Glass Sightseeing Platform in the Stone Forest Gorge Park

The Glass Sightseeing Platform in the Stone Forest Gorge Park

2016-08-25

The most amazing glass sightseeing platform is located in the Stone Forest Gorge which looks like a UFO disc. But this platform is staggeringly awesome and indeed challenging.

The glass sightseeing platform is at the main peak of the Stone Forest Gorge Park.

This sightseeing platform is comprised of aerospace titanium alloy, alloy steel, strong cables and crystal glass. The extending length of the platform in the air is 32.8 meters and covers an area of 415 square meters. This platform is even larger than the skywalk glass platform in the Grand Canyon and is the largest so far in the world.

The distance between the floor of the gorge and the cliff is over 400 meters. Standing on the platform, you can view the mountains and the lake in the faraway places. However, walking along the round platform seems not to be an easy task for each and every tourist visiting the park. In addition, the night view of Beijing is much more fascinating as night falls.

The Stone Forest Gorge has adopted a special design and the glass sightseeing platform is one of the staggering views of the park. It is even the wonder of the park.

The specialty of the platform looks like a UFO disc floating in mid-air. Viewing the scenery of the park from above, you will feel awed and so people usually name it the “Eye of Space”. Climbing the mountain and standing at the main peak, you may feel like being a ruler of the world.

However, the workload of the disc is now confined to 3,000 visitors. Indeed, the most intriguing experience of visiting the park is walking the platform and looking down the platform. It is scaring indeed! For those who are afraid of standing at a high stop, this might not be a good place.
