Yangtai Mountain is located in Baianhe Haidian District, the northwest part of Beijing. Featuring various plants and lush trees, the forest coverage rate reaches 94% and its famed apricot trees cover 51%. With lush greenery, it served as one of the top places for sunrise view in suburb Beijing.

It is dotted with scenic spots and historic sites including Jiufeng Forest Park, famous for its winding roads, Dajue Temple, ancient monastery of thousand years etc. Under the main peak of Miaofeng Mountain, there is the well-preserved tomb of Prince Chun of the Qing Dynasty. The spring releases 30 tons of water daily, and a large amount of people come to carry the water from far away. Yangtai Mountain is a nice place for mountaineering, appreciating chrysanthemum flowers, barbequing, and holding open-air banquets. Farmhouses in the orchard offer traditional rural Chinese food. People could also go fishing in the Sun Pond Lake inside the scenic spot. At night there are barbeque parties and camping activities.
