1. 798 Art Zone

Named after the 798 factory which was built in 1950s, it is located in the northeast corner of the city. The Dashanzi Art District (DAD) is it’s another name as it sits in Dashanzi zone. Characterized by modern art, it has become the exhibition center of Chinese culture and art, and also the world- famous cultural and creative industries centralized area.

Transportation: Take Bus No. 401, 402, 405, 445, 909, 946, 955, 973, 988, 991 to Dashanzi Lukounan Station

2. Songzhuang Original Art Zone

Located at Xiaopu Village, Songzhuang Town, Tongzhou District, this is the biggest place where creative artists are joint together. This village was called “Painters village” for a while as many painters moved here in 1994. Now it is not only a place where artists like to stay but also a place for people who love arts to enjoy artworks.

3 Miaoying Temple

Miaoying Temple was also named Baitasi (White Pagoda Temple) for its white pagoda. It was first built in 1272, but the temple was burned down by accidently and only the white pagoda remained. The temple got rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty and then it gain its new name – Miaoying Temple.
