Nate Wong is a Hong Kong native who grew up in California, graduated from Berklee College of Music and is now a musician in Hong Kong.
At Berklee Nate studied with jazz greats, Ralph Peterson, Terry Lynne Carrington, Greg Osby and George Garzone. Nate’s band The Jazz Tellers was selected by Berklee to travel across the United States and Asia as ambassadors for the school performing clinics and concerts around the World. Upon graduation Nate was hired as a drum set professor at COM at USFQ, a Berklee sister school in Ecuador.
Now, Nate is a cross over musician that has his finger prints on virtually all parts of HK’s music industry and leads a jazz quintet named Nate w/ The Wong Way Down which is the house band of the legendary Peel Fresco Jam Session. In addition to being one of the most active members in Hong Kong’s jazz scene Nate is the current drummer of Sammi Cheng’s Touch Mi World Tour.
Nate has also performed with some of Asia’s most popular artists such as Anthony Wong, Hacken Lee, Yoyo Sham, Eugene Pao, C All Star and Alan Tam.
