Walking towards the southward from Yinding Bridge is the northeast of Dajinsi Hutong, the winding alleyway is only at three to four meters. The narrow feelings make people stand out. The courtyards are standing on the both side, well-proportioned. In the sunny days, the old of the courtyards will sit on the kerbside basking themselves in the sunshine, chatting, playing chess, reading newspapers surrounded by children laughing, playing and hiding and seeking.

This is just a common scene of Dajinsi Hutong, and in Xiaojinsi Hutong and Nanguanfang Hutong close to Dajinsi Hutong, you can also experience such fine alley atmosphere. It was called Jinsitao Area in the old times, where was the islet with beautiful sceneries. The islet was surrounded by Qianhai, Houhai and Yueya River. Later, the Yueya River was covered to be built as Liuyin Street and Qianhai West Street. It became the “peninsula”, where dotted as 18 winding hutongs. These hutongs are the most well preserved in Shichahai Scenic Spot.
