Beijing Zoo is the earliest zoo opens to the public in China with the largest animal number of species. It is the home to 500 kinds of a range of 5,000 animals, 500 species of 10,000 marine fishes and livings. It is one of the largerst zoos in China that receive Chinese and foreign tourists more than 600 million every year. The mainly animal halls including Lion and Tiger Hill, Bear Hill, Monkey Hill, Deer Park, Elephant House, Rhino and Hippo House, Orangutan House, Giraffe House, Panda House, Golden Monkey House, Amphibians and Reptiles House, Eagle Hill, Children Animal House and Penguin House etc.

Highlights:

1.Lion and Tiger Hill: Built in 1956, Lion and Tiger Hill is one of the landmarks in Beijing Zoo. In the time that camera belonged to the high-grade consumer goods, many people took photos used the Lion Tiger Hill as the background of the picture.

2.Monkey Hill: Located in the southeast of the zoo, Monkey Hill is the house exited in the zoo with the longest history as well as the one built before 1949.

3.Panda House: The new house is located in the east of the former panda house, in the axle wire of the north gare. The whole building based on the theory of "topology" of Chinese classical garden and composited of “ Tai ji Diagram”. It presents the shape of bamboo shoots, the arch rings like bamboo joints.
