Panjiayuan Flea Market is located at the southeast corner of the Third Ring Road in Beijing, covering an area of 48,500 square meters. It is divided into six sections: Booth Area, Ancient Architecture, Classical Furniture, Modern Collection, Sculpture and Stone Engraving, and the Catering Section. The majority of small business there are ones selling antiques, handicrafts, ornaments, and other collectibles. Built in 1992, with the development of the trade of folk antiques, it has become a large antique art market that promotes folk culture.

Panjiayuan Flea Market is the most popular antique market in China. Every Saturday and Sunday the number of customers can reach sixty to seventy thousand and about ten thousand of those customers are international guests from diverse backgrounds. This market has the most comprehensive stock of antiques in China. It has Hengshui snuff bottles, Yang Liuqing Spring Festival picture, Jiangsu embroidery, Jiangxi porcelain and crystal ornaments, Yixing boccaro ware, Shanxi bronze ware and a seemingly infinite variety of other offerings. These diverse folk handicrafts come from every part of China and brought together at Panjiayuan market, where they are traded to the rest of the world.
