Covering an area of 10,700 mu, Tongzhou Grand Canal Forest Park is located in the north of the canal. The Tongzhou section of the Beijing-hangzhou Grand Canal is like a silver chain that strings together 18 attractions, amongst them Taoliu Yingan, Yuqiao Chunse, Chapeng Huaxi, Huangmu Gudu, Changhong Huayu etc, about 10 kilometers. Constituted by “one river, two banks, six scenic spots, eighteen attractions”, the park is an ideal place for leisure, outdoor camping, cultural entertainment as well as being the only natural oxygen bar or ecological canal in Beijing.

Through the recovery of the wetland plants as coastal reeds, lotus, it forms a marsh land ecosystem within Beijing. In addition to viewing the landscapes, it offers the pursuits of picking and fishing for locals.
