Beijing Academy of Performing Arts Children’s Theatre in Partnership with Beijing Playhouse presents Rapunzel.

SHOW: Children’s classic Rapunzel It’s more than just a fairy tale. An inspiring rendition of a traditional story. Beijing Playhouse’s first ever children’s show is for ages 6-12.

“Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair, so that I may climb the golden stair,” says the prince to the princess Rapunzel up in the high tower. But will Rapunzel’s mother allow her to see the prince? An inspiring coming of age story that explores the changing relationship between mother and daughter.

LOCATION: Beijing Academy of Performing Arts’ performances of Rapunzel are at 77 Theatre, a 15-minute walk from the Nanluoguxiang subway station.

CAST and CREW: The four performers of this show are Katje Skripko as Rapunzel, Katje Sassi Bucsit as Mother, Tiziano Kirchner as the Prince, and Hatty Liu as Minstrel. Directed by David Peck. Stage manager April Wang, Production designer Ailin Du.

LANGUAGE: This show is performed in English. (There are no subtitles.)

FORMAT: This show is performed in the round with children sitting on the floor and the actors performing in the center. The show is performed in one act in one hour.
