Mulan Paddock is located in Weichang Manchu and Mongolian Autonomous County of Chengde, which was formerly a royal hunting lodge for emperors of the Qing Dynasty. It consists of mainly 3 sections: Hongshan Military Paddock, Saihanba National Forest Park and Yudaokou Grassland. With vast forests and a wide expanse of grassland, it is a natural grassland with herds of cattle and flocks of sheep bred onsite.

During summer days, lakes, forests and grasslands comprise the notable features of Mulan Paddock. It is really beautiful that all kinds of flowers are in full blossom and distinct colors from dawn till sundown. Not far from Saihanba National Forest Park, Wulan Butong Grassland are part of Inner Mongolia, was famous for the battle between Emperor Kangxi and Galdan. It is easy to visit it at the same time, but should pay the extra entrance ticket.

Due to the cool weather and picturesque scenery in summer, tourists can come here to escape the heat and appreciate the splendid scenery.
