As one of the four limestone caves in China, Shihua Cave is the representative of limestone caves in northern China. It is divided into six tiers with 130 meters height difference. At present, one to four floors are opened to public with a total length about 2,500 meters and depth of 150 meters. It equals to climb 60-story stairs when visit the whole cave.

Shihua Cave is the karst cave discovered in China with large-scale caves, multilayers, overall sedimentary types, and large amounts of secondary chemical sediment caves. Its aesthetic and scientific value can be ranked among the top ranked world caves. The site is considered to be a cave museum that you can appreciate as it has various sedimentation types such as stone flowers, peristele, stalagmite, stone chrysanthemum, stalactite, terraced flow stone, rock falls, stonewall, moonmilk......The cave stays a cool temperature, making it a nice place to escape the heat in summer.

Bus Route: Bus 832 at Beijing Tianqiao Long-distance Bus Station to Liangxiang Beiguan Station. Then take Bus 833 runing to Hebeizhuang, and get off at Shihuadong Daokou Station. Then change to Fangshan Bus 43 to Shihuadong (Stone Flower Cave) Station or hire a local mini van to Shihua Cave
