If you ask me which place have I been to many times in Beijing, it must be Nanluoguxiang. Not only due to its convenience of accessibility, it attracts visitors for full of all kinds of snacks and shops. Nanluoguxiang is also a characteristic bar street with small bungalows distinctly adorned with traditional red lanterns. Although it is located downtown, the bars here are mostly quiet and natural compared with those more famous bar streets in Sanlitun and Houhai. Nanluoguxiang is far away from the hustle and bustle city and the red doors and verdant trees make people fell more closer to the nature.

With more than 740 years old, Nanluoguxiang, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Beijing, has been the best preserved old hutong structure of the Yuan Dynasty Period in Beijing. It is exceedingly fascinating and charming both in the daytime and night. The shops, bars, and restaurants maintain varied hours, and you'll be able to find activities here at almost any time of day or night.

Many restaurants and shops managed for many years were gradually become so well-known that they have attracted large amounts of visitors to peruse them. When you come to Nanluoguxiang, you must taste Wen Yu’s Milk Custard, the thick and pure cheese is very delicious. You also can’t miss “mutton shashlik” pizza and “kung pao chicken” pizza, all created on site.
