Located in northwest of Beijing, Jiufeng is 30 miles away from the downtown Beijing and at an elevation of 465 meters above sea level. The peak got its name because it evokes the image of vultures soaring when seen from distance. Located in the middle of West Mountain (the Top of Taihang Mountain), 2 miles from Zhongguancun High Tech Park, Jiufeng National Forest Park is one of the national forest parks closest to Beijing.

In spring, flowers like peach blossoms, mangnolia and wild apricots are in full blossom everywhere on the mountains, and floral scent spreads far away from the park. The mountains are steep and overlapping with rocks and green plants; making it a paradise for visitors for leisure, hiking and good outdoors fun. Jiufeng Peak has numerous imposing and steep peaks and many zigzagging valleys. In a word, the park is a good place for a trip on May Day !
