Liuliqu Village is situated in Longquan County, Mentougou District that is known as the Colored Glaze Village of China. It is a historic and cultural village with a thousand years of history. The village was built before the Yuan Dynasty and was famous for its high-quality colored glaze extensively used in Ming and Qing Dynasty palaces. The craft of colored glaze in the village has been passed on for a millenium. Ancient archways, ancient temples, stages of drama, old wells, stone inscriptions, together with colorful folk customs are all highlights of the village. Additionally, it has well-preserved houses as well as excellent scenery, making it an ideal place for visiting.
