Do you like mountain climbing with your families in Beijing? Hiking the Mangshan Mountain is highly recommended in spring.

Mangshan Moutain is a national level forest park which is located to the east of the Ming Tombs Reservior in Changping District, about 50km north of downtown Beijing. ”Mang” literally means “boa constrictor” due to the similarity between “Mang Mountain” and a huge snake, hence the name of “Mang Mountain”. There are over 170 species of trees and flowers, making for charming scenery and producing fresh air.

Plentiful activities take place in the park each year, such as planting, Mountain climbing and flowers peeping, fruits picking up etc.

Self-driving Route: Drive along Beijing Changping Expressway, get off at Changping Xiguan Exit. Continue to drive eastward the downtown of Changping, the continue to drive along Shuiku Road (Reservior Road ). Follow the road signs to Mangshan Mountain.
Bus Route: Take Bus 919 (Deshengmen -Jiulong Amusement Park) at Deshengmen, and get off at the terminal; or Take Bus 345 Branch, get off at the terminal, and then transfer to Bus 6 Ring or 912 to get there.
