Where can you see China’s aircrafts (including military aircrafts) face to face in Beijing? Never dream you can see them at Beijing’s airports! But once you step into the China Aviation Museum, you will be able to view them face to face. This museum is the largest one of its kind in Asia and the fifth largest in the world, and covers an area of 720,000 square meters. In the museum about 270 planes, 99 antique planes, and nearly 10,000 aviation antiques. In addition, ground-to-air missiles, anti-aircraft guns, radars, aviation ammunition and flying wears can also be found there.

Opening hours: 8:30-17:30 (closed on Mondays, not including China’a national festivals)

Admission: Free, but you need to pay 20 yuan to visit the Comprehensive Showroom (综合展馆) or the Cave Depot (洞库).

Getting there: Take Subway Line 5 to Tiantongyuan (天通苑), and transfer to Bus No. 643 to Asuwei Stop (阿苏卫站).
