Beijing Botanical Garden 北京植物园

Everyone is familiar with Beijing botanical garden, for it is famous for peach blossoms. Planted with more than 6,000 strains of peach trees, every April, more than 40 kinds of peach blossoms will fully bloom in spring to create a scroll of landscape painting to welcome guests from both near and afar. What more importantly is that flowers are not the only treasure of it, because numerous species of trees and grasses will naturally lead you to the world of wonders in green, and they also serve as ornaments that decorate these budding and blooming flowers.

Bus Route: Take Bus No. 634, 331, 696 and get off at Beijing Zhiwuyuan or Wofosi Station.

Phoenix Ridge 凤凰岭

It is the best time to appreciate apricot blossoms from March to April. Covering an area of 40 hectares, the Phoenix Ridge has the largest area of apricot trees, where tens of thousands of apricot trees have been planted. Pink apricot blossoms are in full blossom from the hillside to the valley in the valley during this period of time. Yuyuantan Park 玉渊潭公园

Jingshan Park 景山公园

Jingshan Park is famous for peonies. There is a peony display each year in the park. Many varieties of peonies are displayed. Peonies have been displayed in Jingshan Park since the Yuan Dynasty (1271–1368). The park has a display collection of more than 1,000 peonies of some 100 varieties. Jingshan Park has a peony garden, which is just located behind the Coal Hill (today’s JIngshan). This is a relatively large garden, where the peonies will be in full bloom from mid April to mid May. It will be very nice to visit the park when these peonies bloom.

Summer Palace 颐和园

In fact, the Summer Palace is beautiful all year round, and its most beautiful season is from spring to early autumn and will be also gorgeous in winter when it snows. In early spring, the plants of the park become tenderly green and the view of Kunming Lake has just returned to life from the winter doze. It is not cold or hot in the park during this season. For magnolia lovers, a tour of the imperial garden will be something wonderful too, for when the magnolia trees of it fully bloom, it will be fascinating.

Fragrant Hills Park 香山公园

No doubt, Fragrant Hills Park is among the most beautiful parks in autumn because of its red leaves. But have you ever visited the park in spring? Is it not that beautiful as you think? Indeed, it is not among the best places to travel to in early spring but must be one of the most beautiful places when spring rolls on, not because of its red leaves but of its lush trees and flowerbeds hidden at the corners of the hills.

By Bus: Take Bus No. 318, 360 Express, 714, 698, 331, or 696 and get off at Xiang Shan Station.
