Carmen, Georges Bizet’s magnum opus, is one of the best known European Operas among Chinese. With distinct characters, passionate emotion and vivid human nature, it is an opera of “real”. As a fantastic opera, it was adapted into different languages and performed in many countries.

The NCPA Carmen was first performed in 2010 which was directed by Francesca Zambello, who had directed 5 different-styles Carmen before. And this one became one of the best operas of the NCPA.
