According to common senses, winter may not be a good season for traveling, especially for hiking because of freezing temperatures and cold winds. However, all the difficulties are excuses for hikers who like hiking.

Take a friend of mine for example, who like hiking very much. She went hiking with her friends last weekend. She told me that they had no idea that the mountain they were going to hike was covered with thick snow until they arrived. However, it was too late to change their route, so they decided to hike according to their plan.

The snow was much thicker than they thought, especially when they arrived at the shadier north slope. “You can hardly see your shoes when you walked in the snow” she told me, “It’s really interesting for I have never experienced a real snow land before.” I can hardly imagine that.

All in all, she described an experience that I’ve never thought of. By the way, I want to experience it myself, too.
