Just days after the winning of the Philippines at Miss Universe pageant, another Filipina added to the country’s rich harvest of international beauty titles in 2015 on New Year’s Eve. Leren Mae Bautista was crowned Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International 2015 at the conclusion of the pageant, held on December 31st, 2015 at the Putrajaya Marriott Hotel and Spa Grand Ballroom in Malaysia. In besting 52 other candidates, the 22-year old Laguna native became the third Filipina to win the crown after Sherylle Santarin and Raquel Uy won it in 1996 and 1999, respectively.
