Songshan Forest Tour Area is in North China which is the only national-level nature reserve with a Total area of 4,660 hectares and over 50 hectares natural oil pine trees. Haituo Mountain is as high as 2199.6 meters which is the second peak of Beijing. Songshan Tour Area is famous for its natural landscapes: grand mountains, quiet water, dangerous stone and unique forest, which let people, have a feeling of being a world of painting, poetry.

It has 713 kinds of plants among which medicinal plants accounts for a large part, about 300 kinds; there are 184 kinds of vertebrate animals, 125 kinds of birds and 80 kinds of breeding birds. It has natural pines, Baibu waterfall, Baxian Cave and more than 30 attractions which are with distinguishing features. Songshan Natural Reservation is a destination for scientific research, study, teaching and writing. Songshan Spring is famous since the ancient times and as early as more than 1,500 years ago, which was the period of the Northern Wei Dynasty; it was explored into pond for shower of ladies. It was honored by people of Qing Dynasty as "the best place for body", and "holy land for cultivate body".

Traffic: Take Bus No. 919 from Deshengmen Bus Station to Yanqing and transfer a bus directly leading to Songshan Mountain.

On May 19, the old who is over 60 is free and other visitors can visit the forest with a ticket at a half price.
