2015-12-08

Huang Shi Cheng located in Beijing, China, contains historical documents and archives of the Ming, Qing and other dynasties. Built in 1534, it was the first institution to house historical documents of the emperor. It is the imperial archive of the Ming and Qing Dynasties and also called the Biaozhangku.

With its first construction in the 13th Year of the reign of Emperor Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty, Huang Shi Cheng is a masterpiece of ancient architecture, a mixture of practicability, science and art. As a full reflection of the superb skill and artistic talent of ancient Chinese craftsmen and artists, this palace supplies us a valuable substance material for the research into the ancient "stone-made rooms and gold cabinets".
