Located in Xisi, the Gangwashi Presbyterian Church hosts a very dynamic Christian parish in Beijing.
Reopened in 1980, this church went from a hundred of followers to more than 6.000 today. The believers are very active and take part in many activities to help others: assistance to disadvantaged people, visit to hospitals, visits in jail…
The parish is very dynamic as well in religion teachings, with theological meetings, Bible lessons for children and grown-ups, sport, a choir. The church manages a bookshop with religious book in Chinese language. Masses are in Chinese, but on Sunday morning there is a, English translation service during 2 masses, at 8.30 am and 10 am.
To be noted, on Sunday afternoon, from 1 pm to 4 pm, a special mass destined to the Korean ethnic minority in China, the Chaoxianzu. There are masses every day , but the most important day is Sunday.
