The Rocky Horror Picture Show has remained a cult classic for over forty years with live midnight showings attracting massive audiences across the US and Europe. Now, for the first time, the fun of this one-of-kind film comes to Gulou. Temple Bar will be screening this classic sci-fi / horror send-up from 8 to 10pm Halloween night, perfect for kicking off all your nefarious Devil’s Night plans.

For the uninitiated - the Rocky Horror Picture Show is a staple of midnight film screenings at independent theaters internationally, and has garnered an infamous reputation for uniquely weird forms of audience participation. Fans often attend screenings in the extravagant glammed out attire of various characters, parrot ritualized call-out phrases to on-screen characters (Dammit Janet!), and use props like water guns for yet another dimension of excitement at key points in the film.

Notice that we haven’t even bothered to draw you in with peripheral nonsense like plot details, cast, or trendy film festival award nominations. The key thing that makes this film legendary is uninhibited participation.
