Darin Zanyar better known simply as Darin, is a Swedish pop singer and songwriter of Kurdish descent and one of Sweden’s best-selling artists, with numerous chart topping songs and music albums.

In January 2005 Darin’s debut single “Money For Nothing” was released gaining him his first number one single and a platinum certification. On Swedish National Day, he sang the song “Sista Morgonen” for the royal family and he also performed “Can’t Stop Love” on the wedding ceremony of Swedish Princess.

Darin’s debut album The Anthem was released in 2005. The album enjoyed much success entering the Swedish Album Charts at number 1 and eventually being certified gold by the IFPI. Also in 2005, Darin released his second self-titled album Darin which became Darin’s second chart topping album and also the first to be released outside of Sweden, being released in Finland. His single “Step Up” made with Red One who is the producer of many famous singers such as Akon and Lady Gaga. He gained his fame in Germany with his third album “Break the News” and “Insanity”, and he made a cover version of Viva La Vida from Coldplay, which made him well-known in Britain. After obtaining fame in Europe, he released his song Breathing Your Love made with American Reggae singer Kat Deluna, adding to his success around the world.

On 10 March 2015 Darin revealed on Facebook that his first single from his first Swedish-language album which was titled Ta mig tillbaka and was scheduled for release on 13 March. Darin brings his new album Fjärilar i magen to China, which was just released on 25 September via Dex Music.
