TNT Theatre established in 1980 has gained its fame both at home and abroad. It is the one of the world’s most popular theatres. It has given countless performances on the world stage and the countries TNT Theatre has been to are the greatest among other theatres. TNT Theatre has dominated the drama market in Germany and has performed countless shows especially in France, Japan and Russia more than any other theatres. Merely in the last season, TNT Theatre has performed 14 works in 3 continents over 1,000 times. TNT Theatre has also cooperated with several world-known theatres such as the Athens Concert Hall. It was awarded Order of the British Empire by British Queen, Elizabeth II for its great contribution to British drama.

TNT is the abbreviation of a kind of explosive and the name of the Theatre. Just like its name, TNT Theatre has dedicated itself to the combination of various performing forms and tries to be as energetic and fantastic as possible. Based on varied theatre elements, TNT Theatre has performed traditional Britain dramas, physical theatre shows from Jerzy Grotowski and Italian masked comedy.

Paul Stebbings, the art director of TNT Theatre, graduated from the University of Bristol. He has directed many famous dramas such as A Midsummer Night's Dream, Oliver Twist, The Taming of the Shrew, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Macbeth and etc. Paul Stebbings has won numerous awards including the awards in Edinburgh Festival, Frankfurt Arts Festival and etc.
