Beijing South Railway Station is a new and massive railway station on the south side of Beijing. After reconstruction, as the largest station of Asia, Beijing South Railway Station has been in service since August 1, 2008. The history of this station could be traced back to 1897 in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), and it was called Yongdingmen Railway Station, or Majiabao Railway Station. Slow trains arrive and depart from this station.

Railway Lines

Over 300 sets of trains arrive and start from this station. The station serves for the trains of the high-speed railways, including the Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Railway and the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway and direct trains to Jinan and Qingdao. Some of the trains can reach speeds above 350 km/h. It only takes half an hour from Beijing to Tianjin and five hours respectively traveling from Beijing to Shanghai.Transportation

By subway: Subway Line 4 and Line 14 to Beijing South Subway Station, get off at the exit and then walk to the Railway Station.By Bus: No. 20, 53, 63, 102, 106, 122, 203, 208, 377, 381, 454, 458, 485, 692, 741, 939, 943, 958, 986 to Beijing South Railway Station.
