The Xingfucun strip is anchored by the presence and delectable edibles coming out of the kitchen and bar at the Big Smoke. Add guacamole (RMB48) to the list of must-orders for each visit.

A generous portion arrives on one of the establishment’s signature boards and doesn’t skimp on the seasoning, either, with its assertive, zesty flavor. The texture errs on the creamy side, but we appreciate how easily it travels from bowl to chip to mouth. Personally, we prefer Taco Bar’s thinner, crispier chips, but can understand that others enjoy The Big Smoke’s more substantial ones.
