True to its name, The Local conveys the welcoming vibe of your favorite neighborhood pub. The staff is attentive and comfortable with English, while other diners on the patio are often friendly and conversational. With a pool table you can enjoy for free, sports on unobtrusive screens, and regular trivia nights on their second floor, you can easily while away an evening.
The buffalo chicken tenders are a treat, tangy but not too hot. Their one drawback is extreme tenderness, which extends to their exterior. The bacon loaded waffle fries, however, are pure comfort, all cheese and bacon nuzzling a hearty pile of potato that’s crisp outside, tender inside, and devoid of excess grease.
With a range of beers, including brews from Jing-A and Slow Boat, this local pub and its well-crafted comfort food left us wanted for nothing.
