The works on show in National Art Museum of China consists of two parts: Chinese ink painting on southern water town and comprehensive painting. Water town south of Yangtze River and southern Anhui village under his brush have a quite unique style. Turning from expression of nostalgic feelings in early stage to humanistic thinking of painting language, Zou Ming incorporates modern ink painting into his way of expression and combines image with mental one, honing his works with distinctive individual style, coupling inflexibility with yielding. Either on paper or on cloth, Zou Ming’s comprehensive painting applies technique of both splash-ink and splash-color, with earth and sand as material occasionally.
Combining ink, material and texture as a whole, the works take abstraction as the main style and highlight the grand atmosphere. So it is no surprising that his three pieces of works were selected respectively by display area of Chinese traditional painting, comprehensive painting and mural painting in The 12th National Art Exhibition.

From this exhibition, we can experience the change of mentality and spirit of artistic exploration of the painter. Zou Ming constantly probes the possibility of applying contemporary ink painting language to Chinese traditional painting and expresses humanistic feelings to the past and the present through creation.
