Beijing Sanfo Outdoor Products Co., Ltd was started in May 1997 after the original founder, Zhang Heng had backpacked to the west region of China. During his journey, he noticed the beginning stage of China's outdoor industry and shared with some foreigners their experience. Eventually, that trip inspired him to establish a store committing to Sports, Happiness and Dream.

In March 1997, the first store was opened at the east gate of Beijing University. At that time, only very poor quality outdoor products could be served. Luckily, we caught the opportunity and the market began to boom.

Sanfo now is the largest domestic retail store. We have extended our business by more than 30 retail stores to Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Changchun, Qingdao and Shijiazhuang. We also offer direct sales via the Internet (www.sanfo.com), telephone and mail.
