Beijing Yuxiandu Royal Court Cuisine Museum, finished in May 2013, was financed 150 million Yuan by Beijing Yuxiandu Catering Investment Holding Group. The 15,000 square-meter museum features three parts: the exhibition areas of culture, interactive experience, and artistry viewing. There are one venue, four pavilions, eight halls, nine corridors, and 29 palaces.

The company inherits the cooking techniques of the Qing royal court practiced by then chef Xu Desheng. The Xu’s techniques, now passing down his fourth and fifth generations, have been enlisted in the intangible cultural heritage. Yuxiandu Royal Court Cuisine Museum features such functions as expo, education, academic research, gustation, and cultural exchange. It has been rated as one of China's National AAA Scenic Spots, education & demonstration base by China Hotel Association, ICH unit, and a sentinel procurement unit of the Beijing Municipal Government.

The area of cultural display takes up 1,500 square meters on two floors. This area consists of three parts: in the first part, the evolvement of the 5,000-year-old royal court cuisine is demonstrated by various ingredients, tableware, banquet etiquette, anecdotes of royal court, and allusion of famous dishes; the second part highlights famous chefs and dishes of each dynasty; the third part features the cultural essence of royal court dishes. Each part adopts multi-dimensional expo languages, sound & light technology, as well as narration techniques.

The area of interactive experience, which takes up 9,100 square meters, is an organic component of the museum and a complement of the area of cultural display. The reproduction of royal court dishes, etiquette, and story scene contribute to a decent experience.

The area of interactive experience consists of 50 venues on four floors and can hold up to 2,000 people. all halls and booths are decorated in royal style. Some imitate the structure of the palace of Fair and Square, the Studies of Quanqin, Shufang, and Chun’ou. The hall of performances on the first floor covers 1,200 square meters and can house 600 audiences. The third floor features the biggest pillarless banquet hall in Beijing. The hall takes up 1,500 square meters and can hold 1,000 guests, making itself the perfect place for conferences, annual meetings, press events, and birthday parties. The hall combines the culture of the Qing Dynasty with court dishes.

The area of artistry viewing is a modernized central kitchen which covers 1,800 square meters. As an integral part of the museum and sightseeing hotspot, this area stands out with its transparent, green, energy-efficient, environmental, and safe design.

Yuxianndu mainly offers royal court dishes that require high skills, beneficial to the health, and culturally enriched. Over 300 thousand visitors have been received to date and a dozen of international events have been held here. Apart from this, Yuxianndu has also maintained long-term cooperation with over 100 travel agencies.
