Wang Yayu started learning the pipa at the age of five. Since then, she has performed all far and wide, while captivating intrans-disciplinary joint efforts with on-screen characters, calligraphers, painters and even Djs.
Eminent shows include: solo presentations in Switzerland; cross-limit exhibitions with different specialists at the University of Chicago; a joint execution with chamber symphony Timi at the Berklee College of Music; and an acclaimed organization of the dramatization Zijun at the Beijing Fringe Festival and the Shenzhen Drama Festival. She won a Silver Award at the Feiyang Chinese Music Competition, and a Gold Award at the Zhongxin International Music Competition.

On November 16, Wang will be performing a soundtrack to the 1934 quiet film The Goddess (Shennü), steered by Wu Yonggang. This extraordinary exemplary from the "brilliant age" of Chinese film stars performer Ruan Lingyu in the strong part of a young person attempting to escape from prostitution and provide for her child an instruction in the midst of criminal shamefulness and social preferences in 1930s China. This was to be one of Ruan's last parts before her suicide, the accompanying year. The Goddess was named by Chen Kaige as his most loved film from this time.
