Alexander Red-Flag Song and Dance Troupe of the Russian Armed Forces will come to The Great Hall of the People in Beijing on January 1, 2015.

Alexander Red-Flag Song and Dance Troupe is Russia's largest army song-and-dance troupe. Its glorious history and outstanding artistic achievements help this troupe not only become the emblem of Russian army spirit but also enjoy worldwide prestige as one of the most famous Russian art troupes.

Being established in 1928, the troupe was affiliated to the Headquarter of U.S.S.R Red Army. In 1935, U.S.S.R Red Army awarded the troupe Russian Red Army's Red Flag Medal, and in 1949, the troupe was once more awarded the Red Flag Medal, and thus the troupe becomes the only song-and-dance troupe that has ever been twice awarded the same honor, and from then on the troupe was called Red Flag Troupe.

With its songs the troupe has inspired millions of Russian people during the Soviet Union's Great Patriotic War. It successively took performance tour in more than 50 countries and received high appraisal wherever it went.

The troupe has been awarded the European Golden Disc several times, and its superb artistic level achieved general acknowledgement among the public.
